CAVERSHAM HEIGHTS METHODIST CHURCH

Caversham Heights Methodist Church is situated on the corner of Woodcote Road and Highmoor Road, RG4 7BG. The building has two car parking areas and on-street parking. The bus stop outside is served by Reading Buses No 22 and Oxford Buses X40 services. There is a free internet service for users of the building. The building is used by a wide variety of organisations and private groups for either regular meetings or one-off events like children’s parties.

The Main Hall

The main hall is 7.33m x 12.09m [88m2]. This is a bright space that can seat up to about 100 people. There is a range of tables and chairs. It has a large screen for projectors. Audio facilities can be provided on request..

The Woodcote Room

The Woodcote Room is 4.50m x 9.15m [41m2]. This is a bright space that can seat up to about 25-30 people. There is a range of tables and a serving hatch to the adjacent kitchen.

The Kitchen

The Kitchen has doors to both the Main Hall and the Woodcote Room. It has an area for food preparation with a catering sized electric cooker and other facilities. There is another area for handling the returned utensils and crockery. Both areas have large sinks and running hot water.

The Wesley Lounge

The Wesley Lounge is a carpeted upstairs room accessible from the main corridor. It is a bright room with windows to three sides. It has soft seating, both matching chairs and armchairs for up to about 20 people. There is also a separate kitchenette which can be made available to serve hot drinks, etc.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary is a bright large space with brilliant acoustics. It has 140 soft seated chairs that can be arranged in various configurations. The total capacity is up to 200 when the seating is augmented with folding chairs. The church is equipped with a fine organ and a grand piano. It also has an audio-visual system which displays to a 3 metre screen and internet facilities to allow live streaming. There is also an equipped open kitchenette to serve hot drinks, etc.
